I am Compuser, a cockeyed optimist, an incurable romantic, an inveterate computer user who believes that man (embracing woman) has surrendered to the ways and wiles of computer makers and computer programmers (and their managers) – in other words, the machine has become the thinking machine and man the unthinking machine.
